Sheena Hopkins

Sheena HopkinsI started my nursing career in 1980 and have worked in General nursing, Maternity and Neonatal intensive care. I first got involved in Allergy and Immunology as a clinic nurse in 1987 in a regional unit.

I found my niche when i was appointed as the Allergy Specialist Nurse in Liverpool 1999 and actually love my job and this speciality, gaining experience and undertaking education in this field up to Masters level. I also have some involvement in Immunology but only as a small part of my role.

I have actively participated in teaching and presenting on allergy courses and at conferences and am proud to be a member of the Immunology and Allergy Nurses group which I believe plays a pivotal role in the support and education of its members in a specialised field.
