Sary Workman

Sarita WorkmanSarita Workman (Sary) is the Specialist Sister in Immunology Research at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

She qualified as a registered nurse in 1994 from Middlesex University based at the Royal Free Hospital where she worked in the specialty of acute general medicine for 2 ½ years following this she then worked in the clinical trials centre UCL based at the Royal Free where she worked up through the ranks from a junior clinical research nurse to manager then project manager over a period of 5 years.

At this point Sary decided that she wished to specialise in one subject, In 2004 she joined the department of Immunology at the Royal Free where she has now worked for over 10 years.

Sary specialises in producing, setting up, obtaining approvals and coordinating the research studies and clinical trials within the department of Immunology at the Royal Free as well as also being heavily involved with the clinical care of the patients. Sary completed her masters degree in clinical research in 2010.

Sary has been a member of the immunology and allergy nurse group for 10 years and has also held several board positions during this time, being the deputy chair, the chair person and in recent years the treasurer. She was also on the steering committee of UK PIN until she recently resigned from this position.

Currently Sary is one of the journal editors of the INGID journal and also is a member of the election committee for INGID and is one of the webmasters for the IANG group.
