I qualified with a BSc in Adult Nursing in Cardiff in 2005 and worked as a staff nurse in Medical Admissions Unit and then Nephrology before spending three years within the Urology department at University Hospital Wales.
Following this I undertook a two-year secondment within Clinical Engineering as the University Health Board’s Medical Equipment Trainer. In this role I developed and delivered safe infusion device education and training to nursing staff, and supported link nurses delivering training and assessments within their clinical areas. I also gained my Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Adult learning.
From 2011 I worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Pain Management, supporting ward based staff in the care of patients receiving high risk analgesia such as Patient Controlled Analgesia and Epidural infusions.
In October 2013 I joined the Immunodeficiency Centre for Wales’s team as an Associate Nurse Specialist in Immunology and Allergy.
